Our ESG Approach

At EDENGY, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are not an afterthought: they structure our project at every stage. Our ambition is to build an agro-industrial model that generates economic value while delivering tangible benefits to local communities and preserving ecosystems. This approach meets the expectations of investors, public authorities, and local populations, while aligning with international standards (UN SDGs, ECOWAS norms, and principles of responsible governance).

ENVIRONMENT
Producing with care

Organic and circular agriculture
We reject monoculture and chemical inputs that deplete soils and weaken biodiversity. EDENGY promotes diversified organic agriculture, reinforced by the use of bio-fertilizing micro-organisms and bio-pesticides developed by our Swiss partner TSB Bio. Every by-product of cassava is valorized: compost to enrich soils, biomass for energy, or animal feed. Nothing is wasted—everything is reintegrated into a virtuous cycle.

Preservation of natural resources
Our crop rotation methods, watershed protection, and responsible irrigation systems help limit erosion and ensure sustainable water management. This model helps prevent deforestation, a major issue in West Africa, while improving agricultural productivity.

Sustainable energy and carbon neutrality
Each complex integrates hybrid energy solutions (solar, small hydro, biomass, cogeneration) to ensure electrical and water autonomy. The goal is clear: to achieve carbon neutrality, an essential condition for long-term project viability and to attract international climate-conscious financing.

SOCIAL
Creating shared value

Local employment and inclusion
Each Smart Agro-Industrial Complex generates over 500 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect jobs. Positions cover every level, from agricultural labor to management. This local recruitment policy contributes to social stability and helps reduce unemployment among youth and women.

Training and empowerment
The Edengy Academy and our partnerships with local universities (IRAG in Guinea, CRI in Ghana, University of Faranah) ensure the training of new generations of agronomists, technicians, and managers. We invest in knowledge transfer so that local communities become actors, not mere beneficiaries, of development.

Partnership with communities
We work directly with agricultural cooperatives: secure contracts, guaranteed minimum prices, technical assistance, and provision of organic inputs. This approach strengthens local economic resilience while ensuring a stable supply for our industrial units.

GOVERNANCE
Transparency and accountability

Shared governance
EDENGY establishes governance structures where local stakeholders (authorities, communities, technical partners) are integrated into decision-making processes. This ensures a balance of interests and greater social acceptance of projects.

Fair value sharing
Our model includes the redistribution of part of revenues to local communities through contractual mechanisms and development projects (schools, infrastructure, healthcare). This goes beyond philanthropy: it reflects our conviction that the company’s prosperity depends on the prosperity of the territories in which it operates.

International alignment
EDENGY aligns its practices with global standards: ESG reporting, external audits, compliance with environmental and social norms of ECOWAS and international financial institutions. This is both a trust guarantee for investors and a safeguard for public partners.

OUR COMMITMENT: MEASURABLE AND SUSTAINABLE IMPACT

Each EDENGY Smart Agro-Industrial Complex is designed to combine economic profitability, social equity, and environmental sustainability. Our approach is built for replication and aims to become a benchmark for responsible agro-industry in West Africa.
